Theater
Sound to support the story
In theater, sound doesn’t just accompany the performance—it’s part of the storytelling. Whether it’s shaping the energy of an opening number, delivering crisp dialogue in a quiet scene, or supporting a full orchestra from the pit, every cue matters. The goal is clear: create a sonic environment that enhances the emotional impact of the performance without ever distracting from it.
How I Approach Theatrical Productions
Every production is unique, and so is every sound design. I start by understanding the director’s vision, the physical space, and the dynamic range of the performance. From there, I design systems and mixes that allow the show to move seamlessly—from the smallest sound cue to the biggest musical moment.
That might mean tuning a system for spoken-word intimacy one night and full-scale musical impact the next. It could involve syncing orchestration and cast vocals across multiple zones or making sure the last row hears the same nuance as the first.
It’s not just about designing what the audience hears. It’s about helping the production tell the story with clarity, emotion, and intent.

Build the Sound That Tells the Story
Great theatre deserves sound that elevates every moment.
From musicals to intimate plays, I work closely with directors and design teams to craft sound that enhances the narrative, fits the space, and supports the performance from rehearsal through closing night.
